Rules and Regulations:
Because of insurance restrictions only walkers and runners will be allow to compete. Nothing else that may cause an accident will be allowed on the course, this includes but not limited to: baby strollers/joggers, wheelchairs, bicycles, skates, skate boards, rollerblades, pets, etc. Course officials will disqualify a runner or walker using or carrying any object that may cause an injury.
Incomplete applications will be returned and a team space will be not be assigned to you. Incomplete applications must be resubmitted.
As per San Antonio Independent School District Regulations -No Alcoholic Beverages, no food, no smoking. The stadium will open their concessions. No beverages/food can be brought on to the track or field at any time.
Fruit, juice, Red Bull energy drink and water will be available at the east end of the stadium (gym side) for the competing athletes after their leg is completed. Do not take this food/drink out into the stadium or on the field. The Volunteer Hospitality Room (for volunteers only) is the eastside of the stadium in the gym.
Water will also be provided near the finish line.
A water station will also be near the Red Oak and Tuleta intersection.
Spikes are not allowed.
Bib Numbers: Each athlete will be assigned a competitor bib number, which must be pinned to the athlete’s chest and “worn as issued” (i.e., no folding, etc.) The bib number must be worn at all times while the athlete is inside the gate of the stadium. Four of the bibs will be the same color, the fifth bib will be a different color and worn by the anchor (last) team member of the relay. This is to avoid confusion at the finish. Lost bib numbers can be replaced for a $10 fee.
Chip Fee: A $20 fee per chip will be charged to any team not returning their chip(s).
Please remember that in the event as team captain you do not want your finisher’s medal your teammates may want them.
